What is Head & Neck Cancer Surgery?

Head and Neck cancer is largely the sequelae of smoking but can affect anyone with presentations in the voice box, salivary glands, thyroid and parathyroid glands, nose, sinus, mouth and throat. Treatment with Dr Mooney is through the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick and is via a multi-disciplinary team approach. Head and Neck Cancer can present in a variety of fashions, but as a rule symptoms that are progressive; a neck lump increasing in size, a voice that is deteriorating, swallowing difficulty, nasal obstruction getting worse, and any persistent bleeding, need prompt review.
